Guild Wars Costumes
Costumes are special decorative garments with a matching headpiece that can be worn over your existing armor to change your appearance without affecting your stats. Deck out your character in a spooky Halloween costume, a festive Wintersday costume or don the uniforms seen on the battlefields of the War in Kryta!
Pick up these special decorative garments in the Guild Wars In-Game Store and the NCsoft Store.
How to Redeem Your Costume
Once you purchase your costume from the Guild Wars In-Game Store or the NCsoft Store, a serial key is applied to your account. To equip your characters with a costume, speak with the [Costume Maker] located in Lion's Arch, Shing Jea Monastery, Kamadan, and the Great Temple of Balthazar.
The costumes that you have purchased for your account will appear in the [Costume Maker] dialog window. Select the costume you want to create and it will appear in your inventory. Double-click the costume icon to equip it, or just drag the icons from your inventory into the costume slots in your character panel.
- This is digital purchase only. No physical item will be shipped.
- Once you’ve purchased a costume, any character on your account can speak to the [Costume Maker] to receive their own costume.
- This item is non-tradable.
- Please note that if you make your purchase at NCsoft.com while Guild Wars is running, you must close and relaunch the game in order to activate your purchase.
You’ll find two costume slots in your character portrait—a body slot and a headpiece slot. When you equip these slots costumes, costume head gear, or festival hats, you change your appearance without affecting your armor stats. You can use the toggles to display or hide your costume and headpiece whenever you like.
