The Gaming World Entertainment Network (GWEN) and Gamers Giving Back are hosting their annual Pink Day in LA event on October 15 from 12:00 - 6:00 PM (CDT). Pink Day in LA is an in-game charity event in Guild Wars created to support the Canadian Cancer Society’s research for a cure for breast cancer. There are TONS of incredible prizes that you can win by participating and donating to this worthy cause! Last year, Guild Wars players raised an incredible $11,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society! Guild Wars Guru is hosting the 2011 GvG Championship Series tournament, sponsored by NVidia, Logitech, Rude Gameware, and Bigfoot! There are four divisions in which to participate, and alongside the tournament, Guild Wars Guru will schedule GvG workshops for new players, as well as creating a mentorship program for the Casual Division. If you've ever been interested in playing GvG, this is a great opportunity to learn from veteran players. The Bronze and Casual Divisions will compete on April 9, and the Gold and Silver Divisions will battle on April 16. The tournament is open to everyone in the Guild Wars community. The Archivists' Sanctum [Lore], led by Konig Des Todes, with help from GuildMag and GW-EN invites you to MantleCon! The event, set once again in the Maguuma Stade International Districts returns for the fifth year. It will be hosted on April 10th at 9:00 AM Pacific (GMT-7) and will last until 12:00 PM Pacific. Snapshot Henchman is an incredible gallery of screenshots taken in various locales in Guild Wars. With nearly 6200 images, it’s a comprehensive series of galleries depicting locations in Tyria, Cantha, and Elona. Annarti painstakingly gathered these images for over two years, and now the Snapshot Henchman project is complete. Head on over to Snapshot Henchman to check out her amazing collection of images!
Having trouble collecting Nicholas the Traveler gifts each week? Trey has created tutorials on YouTube as a way to help his fellow players, particularly those newer players who may not know the best spots to collect trophies. Along with in-game footage, each video has a webcam feed of Trey explaining where the prime hunting spots are, how to get there, and what to look for. The YouTube Channel is updated every Monday, so go check it out!
The Year of the Rabbit is upon us! English-language Elite Fansite Guild Wars Guru is holding their yearly Winter Art Workshop, where community members are invited to share and improve their artistic creations through constructive feedback and discourse. Participants in the discussion can win some great community-contributed prizes, so go join the conversation today!

VirtuGuild needs your help with their research project. The purpose of forming this virtual guild is to study whether social skills like leadership and teamwork can be learned using online games like Guild Wars. Gaming World Entertainment Network is holding a 12 Days of Wintersday singing competition! Join them from December 20 – December 31 in Lion's Arch International District 1 for all the events related to 12 Days of Wintersday! The Lady Patrisha MacFarlane of House Caribdus, Callisean Ambassador to Kryta, will again reprise her role as The Winter Lady, traveling the nations of Tyria on a gift-giving tour of goodwill. During this five-day event Lady Patrisha will give away many gifts of value to the citizens of Ascalon, Kryta, Cantha, and Elona, starting in Ascalon City, American District 1. This is Lady Patrisha's sixth Wintersday season in the service of Dwayna as her Winter Lady and she is hoping many citizens will attend to help her spread the season's good will. Join CrossingTyria.com this Halloween to celebrate their triumphant return, as they party with the Highland Wolves and friends! They have a lot of fun events planned, and this year their theme is to help the asura learn what Halloween is all about! There will be trivia, drinks, a scavenger hunt, and of course, the Mad King's favorite game, "Rock, Paper, Scissors," in which the top scavenger hunt teams will get to compete for undedicated Miniatures! Lore of Mythos has been updated with new changes and additions to the site. In addition to major updates to the Maps, Missions, and Heroes sections of the site, they launched new sections devoted to books and a profile section in which you can show off your characters and achievements. Ghostfest 2010 is coming! [XXX] and the [SMF] Alliance cordially invites all Guild Wars players to celebrate Halloween this year at Ghostfest! Countess Reapera, Konig Des Todes, and Katherine the Blood are hosting the Tyrian Ghost Walk! This event travels to locations throughout Tyria, where participants will hear Guild Wars ghost stories, written from the perspective of actual in-game encounters with these ghosts. As part of the fun, the organizers are asking for submissions from the community for short works of fiction that describe how a ghost originated and how the ghost manifests itself based on an in-game location. Entries are due by October 1^st. See the event page for more information and an example story that illustrates what they're looking for!
The Next Top Runner from the Electric Celerity guild is hosting a series of races for runners that will test not only speed, but also knowledge and ingenuity. Players will compete for the crown of the Electric Celerity Competition 2010 Champion. For more details, check out the EC Running home page.

On August 21, Forever Knights will host a celebration marking their 10^th anniversary! This year, the guild turns 10 years old, and everyone's invited to their in-game party! They'll have competitions, epic prizes, and loads of fun. To top it off, Blade Radio will be supplying the music. The Gaming World Entertainment Network is dedicated to providing in-game entertainment and event support for the Guild Wars player community! You may remember them from their successful Haiti earthquake relief charity fundraiser earlier this year. Join the [KISS] Alliance as they celebrate their fourth birthday in their own unique way! Kiss Maragon is a two-day, riddle-based marathon through all four Guild Wars campaigns. You'll team up with [KISS] members to solve a series of riddles that will allow you to progress through the Maragon. As part of this event, the [KISS] Alliance will be handing out in-game prizes, including pets, weapons, mods, tomes, ectos, and more! The top prizes are three Obsidian Armor sets on any character of your choice! Feed your inner beast! The Brotherhood of the Shadows Alliance is hosting a Canthan New Year event, the [bots] Tiger Feast! Join them in Shing Jea Monastery International District 2 and American Districts 36 and 69, from 12:01am PST on Sunday, February 14 through Monday, February 15 at 12:01am. The Brotherhood of Shadows will generously supply all the feast items to the Canthan chefs, and they'll have random giveaways and other fun activities!

Gaming World Events is hosting their very first Guild Wars in-game event this weekend, and it's for a great cause! "Gamers Giving Back to Haiti" will help raise money for the Canadian Red Cross and their relief efforts in Haiti. This six-hour event runs on Sunday, February 7 from 12:00—6:00 CST in Lion's Arch International District 1. On top of all the in-game prizes they'll be giving away, the Gaming World Events team will raffle off 10 copies of "The Art of Guild Wars 2" hardback books and a bunch of signed Guild Wars 2 art postcards, donated by ArenaNet. The goal is to reach $1337, because after all, we're gamers, right? Guild Wars Community Manager Regina Buenaobra will stop by to support the Gaming World Events crew. If you're unable to donate money, please attend to show your support and have fun! During the Wintersday in July weekend, Daniel Frozenwind and Blade Radio are holding "Winterfest: The Battle" on July 19 and 20. During the event, you can support your favorite deity, Grenth or Dwayna, for a variety of in-game prizes to be awarded by Daniel Frozenwind. A member of the Presearing Community, Silhouette Eyes, is hosting the "Survivor: Pre-Searing" competition. This is your chance to outwit, outplay, and outlast the rest. Get placed on a tribe, compete in weekly photo challenges, win weekly prizes, plus have a shot at winning the grand prize and the title of Soul Survivor! The competition promises jaw-dropping twists and shocking surprises to keep you on your toes the entire time. Applications are open from June 24 to August 5. Guild Wars Vault has recently published an editorial comparing Guild Wars to subscription-based MMOGs.
The Photics.com Guild Wars Video Guides for the Nightfall Bonus missions (1-15) are now available at a higher resolution. Previously, they were 320 x 240. Now they're 640 x 480 - that's double the size! To view them, head over to Photics.com.
Scions of Loki is a group journal which uses the setting of the Guild Wars campaigns and chronicles the adventures of the House Scarabae, a family of Necromancers.

Guild Wars Vault casts some love on six skills this week with a guide to Healing Minions. Declanangfaeder covers a mix of Necromancer and Monk skills that can help keep your hard-won minions alive...er, undead.
GWOnline.net is hosting another art contest! In the Create-A-Dress contest, the challenge is to design outfits for two characters. Lots of in-game prizes are up for grabs, so let your inner fashionista go wild.
If you are looking for a new build to play, don't be afraid to try out the Necromancer/Warrior Meleemancer build posted at Guild Wars Realm. This "squishy but threatening" build is designed for mayhem in the Random Arenas. For those wanting to try something new with their Ritualists, take a look at the Anti-Blocking Ritualist build for GvG battles.

It's almost spring, but this week, Guild Wars Vault is covering the Ranger skill Winter. Learn how to use this skill in combination with others. Also at Guild Wars Vault, TorgasPrim returns with a Candid Conversation with Morina Duathi.
Get out your crayons, it's another art contest! Guild Wars @ Game Amp wants you to participate in its Draw a Staffer Contest. The organizers encourage people of all skill levels to submit entries. The contest runs until April 10, so get scribbling.
Don't forget about MesCon, the party to celebrate all things Mesmer-izing. The festivities get rolling this Saturday in the Henge of Denravi.
It is with great regret that we bid farewell to Guild Cast this week. The final episode, which touches on the history of the popular podcast, is available for download now. We wish the Guild Cast team the best in all of their future projects and hope to see them again soon! (Say, as info starts getting released about Guild Wars 2, perhaps?)

The next RAWR Cup Tournament has been announced! The second round of the RAWR Cup Title Series begins April 5, 2008, and features more contests, more chances to win, and best of all, more prizes! As before, the RAWR Cup supports three different divisions, thus offering a competitive experience to players of all skill levels. Prizes this time range from the Killer Nic Gaming Network card to in-game miniatures such as Asura, Destroyers, Long Haired Yeti, Naga Raincallers, and Oni. In addition to rewarding division top finishers, the RAWR Cup will also present fun prizes to players and teams who win specialized contests. Registration information, a full list of prizes, and rule/contest details can be found on the tournament pages.
Guild Wars Vault has some new additions to its wallpaper gallery and some new player-submitted screenshots. As for fanfiction, Suner45 has uploaded Diseased Blades: Chapter 7.
MesCon is back! Join Mesmers from around the world in a celebration on March 15, and don't forget to wear green! Last year's event resulted in so much Mesmer fun and frivolity that multiple zones were needed to hold all of the celebrants. For a look back, check out last year's pictures. Did you miss the Canthan New Year celebration? Or, were you there but yearn to relive it? Guild Wars Guru has a Complete Guide to the 2008 Canthan New Year Event. This fantastic guide covers the new miniatures, and includes descriptions of the missions and screenshots of the festivities.
Don't forget about the PvXwiki Guild Wars Limited contest! It's not too late to submit your entry (a five-skill build) before the February 24 deadline.
Mousing over a skill to see its description is a fantastic feature, but it can be tricky to use on a forum thread. NCRage, a new fansite that supports all NCsoft games, has gone live. To celebrate, they're giving away lots of prizes. To receive one, submit a news post interesting enough to be published on the site, or set yourself apart from the pack with your contributions to the forum discussions. They're giving away gear, games, and other goodies.
The Russian-language fansite, GWSkills.Net, is proud to unveil a new build creator. They invite you to use their tools (in Russian only) to experiment with new and exciting builds.
The Rohar's Roughnecks Character Progress Tracker has received several improvements recently. You have new options for viewing your character's statistics, additional background colors to make viewing large tables easier, and an improved ability to track a variety of accomplishments—including birthday presents. They also maintain a list of updates for your convenience.
The GWOnline Community Guild will be celebrating their third birthday on Saturday, February 16, 2008, at 8:00 AM Pacific time (-8 GMT). France Guild Wars announced a change of address. They've packed up their guides, forums, and databases and moved to new digs at Guild Wars Univers Virtuels. If you're in the neighborhood, they'd love for you stop by and visit. If you have any links to France Guild Wars in your bookmarks or on your site, please update them now.
This past December, Guild Cafe and Rebel Rising [rawr] coordinated the Rawr Cup Tournament. The event was a huge success, so they're going to do it all over again—only better! The newly formed Guild Cafe Tournament Committee represents many guilds and many styles of play. The committee will discuss ideas about tournament mechanics, prizes, and map rotations. Sound good to you? Then maybe you should apply to join the committee!
This week's Skill Spotlight at Guild Wars Vault gets right to the point with Needling Shot. Consider this frequently overlooked skill for your spike-damage builds.
Speaking of builds, SabreWolf of Guild Wars Realm has posted a Monk/Dervish version of the classic 55-Monk. If you're experimenting with effective farming builds, give this one a try.

Then it's time you had a look. The Collector Finder helps you locate specific collectors and gives you tips for acquiring the items you'll need to trade. It even includes maps!
Guild Wars Vault has added fresh content. Head over there and browse the new images in their Player Screenshot Gallery. While you're there, take a peek at the skill write-up for Seeking Arrows and the thrilling new chapters in the fan fiction library.

One of the most popular features at Guild Wars Guru is the Auction system. To help new users feel comfortable jumping in and using the auction tools, Guru Moderator Wynthyst has written a Common Sense Guide to Successful Auctioning on GWG Auctions. This guide not only lists the steps involved in participating, but offers tips on making it a great experience for everyone involved.
Guild Wars Vault has new community-updated content for you to peruse. You'll find fresh postings in their Collector's List and Player Screenshots. There are also brand new Skill Spotlights that detail Power Shot, Ash Blast and Armor of Earth.
Wintersday might be over, but it lives on in our hearts... and in the Wintersday Calendar. If you haven't seen the calendar's 24 pieces of fan-submitted artwork, do yourself a favor and check them out before winter melts away.
Guild Cast returns with the first show of 2008. Episode #91 features Guild Wars-themed Jeopardy over voice-chat. Have a hard time imagining it? Then you'll just have to listen!

If you won a prize, you must send in a Declaration of Eligibility and Liability Release form (or an email informing us that we already have your forms on file) before we can award your prize. GvG prizes will be distributed based on a list submitted to us by the guild leader designating eight guild members as prize recipients. If you have a form to submit, need another copy of the form, or have any questions or concerns, please write to tournaments@arena.net and we will assist you. We have extended the final date to receive all forms, but we must receive signed forms by Noon Pacific (-8 GMT) on Monday, January 21, to avoid forfeiture of prizes.

Recently, Guild Wars PT hosted a live, 1-versus-1 tournament during XL Party, an event in Lisbon, Portugal. Congratulations to the organizers for a successful tourney, and to Doute Caforcatres for winning. You can read more about the event (with pictures) here.
Please welcome GuildWiki.de to the official fansite roster. This specialty, German-language site is actively updated and has a huge collection of information.
Photics has brought their forums back online and they look forward to seeing lots of community involvement. They have also updated their comic, Lost in Ascalon. And, if that's not enough, the site offers a brand new, fully-featured blogging tool players can use to write about their gaming experiences.
The Healbot Blues continuing storyline is winding down, although the artist plans to keep the conclusion open-ended for further adventures and special features. You can visit the artist's blog for news and the latest art. Old comics will remain archived for your enjoyment. Thank you, Healbot, for all of the laughs. Here's to more in the future!
